Taylor Legacy 855e

The Taylor 855e Legacy is an impressive 12-string acoustic guitar with pickup that brings back the classic Taylor jumbo shape to mark the company’s 50th anniversary. The 855 is similar to the 12-string Taylor used and made popular by Neil Young. With a solid Sitka spruce top and solid Indian rosewood back and sides, it delivers exceptionally broad projection, defined balance, and powerful depth.
The standard carve neck made of neo-tropical mahogany and the ebony fingerboard with a 15″ radius ensure the typical excellent Taylor playability, while traditional design elements such as white binding, a green shimmering abalone rosette, a tortoise pickguard, and a classic gloss finish are reminiscent of Bob Taylor’s early designs.
For playing live, the 855e Legacy is equipped with an LR Baggs Element VTC pickup—a deliberate retro step away from modern Taylor electronics systems.
